British Ambassador honoured as Honorary President of the IBCC
A special milestone
The President of Israel - Britain Chamber of Commerce (IBCC), Mrs Anita Leviant was honoured to present His Majesty’s Ambassador to Israel, HE Simon Walters, with a certificate confirming his appointment as the Chamber’s Honorary President-the first such appointment in the Chamber’s history.
This appointment reflects the close cooperation between the IBCC and the British Embassy, and the Ambassador’s personal commitment to strengthening trade, investment and business ties between our countries.
Ambassador Walters supported warmly the Chamber’s work, its role as a trusted bridge between the two business communities, and the importance of continuing to work closely together.
The presentation took place during a focused round table, which I hosted at the CADR Israel -המשכן לבוררות ופתרון סכסוכים in Tel Aviv, with leading Chamber members and partners, including Elbit Systems Unilever Israel, BDO Israel ,Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank בנק מזרחי טפחות , Group ,Oxford Israel Alumni Society ,the Federation of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce, IBCC Board Members and the British Embassy Israel team.
The discussion was open, practical and forward-looking, focusing on barriers and opportunities, examples of ongoing and growing! UK-Israel success stories and concrete action points for the future.
Israel-UK business relations remain strong and relevant, also during more challenging times, and the IBCC is proud to continue playing a leading role for the private sector in advancing this cooperation.
