Meet The Team

 

 

Ms. Leviant, president of the Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce heads LA Global Consulting, a practice of consulting and leading global and financial projects, investments and cross border transactions.

 

Ms. Leviant holds a LL.B degree from Tel Aviv University Law School and is a member of the Israeli and the NY state Bars. Currently serves as a director of NYSE listed company, member of Corporate Governance Committee and Co-Founder of the Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolutions. Ms. Leviant is a certified mediator, Council Member of the Israel- UK Tech Council, and member of the Board of the Federation of Bi- National Chambers.

 

Ms. Leviant held several senior positions with Hapoalim Banking Group including EVP Deputy Head of Hapoalim Europe, Global Private Banking and EVP General Global Counsel of the group, and served as a director in overseas subsidiaries of the Bank.

 

Prior to that, she specialized in Corporate Law, Finance and Liquidation and was an International Law Research Assistant to the Law School Dean in the Tel Aviv University

Sigal Wolff

Executive Director

Ms. Wolff, Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, is an Israeli Certified Accountant. Ms. Wolff holds a BA in Business Management and Accounting from Hamichlala Leminhal, Tel Aviv. Ms. Wolff is also a certified mediator.   

 

Ms. Wolff’s is an Information systems expert and her experience focuses on the financial institutions sector. She has specialized in financial systems for finance and capital market departments, including comptrollers, dealing rooms and securities’ units, as well as management and consulting in audits and risk assessments.

 

Ms. Wolff was among the leading participants in the establishment of a new financial suite for Bank Hapoalim and consulted Bank Yahav on the replacement project of Bank Yahav's financial systems.

 

Ms. Wolff served as Deputy CEO of Global Risk Management Solutions Ltd at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Israel, where she developed professional practices, and managed the company's commercial and administrative aspects. She was also part of PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ global “Subject of Matter Experts” (SME) team acquiring knowledge on a variety of business sectors, operational processes, risks and controls.

Sidney Lyons

Vice President & Treasurer

Sidney was born and raised in London, before coming on Aliya as a teenager. He completed his high school education in Israel before serving as a first sergeant in the Nahal Paratroopers battalion, where he continued to do active reserve duty for some twenty years. 

Sidney holds a BA in Agricultural Economics and Management from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 

Following the completion of his studies Sidney spent several months travelling in the Far Eat and Australia, during which time he work for Cole Myer in Melbourne, Australia. 

Sidney joined Mizrahi Tefahot Bank in 1991 and has held a number of positions in the branch network, International Activities and Private Banking of the Bank. 

He Currently serves as Section Manager at the International Private Banking Centre in Jerusalem. 

Sidney has been the representative of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank on the IBCC since 2004 and as served as honorary treasurer since 2006. 

He is married with three children and lives in Shoham

Mr. Kaspi is a Banker at Bank Hapoalim B.M with over 34 years of experience in a unique combination of Global Private Banking, International Markets, Commercial Credit, International Trade, Domestic Investments and Housing Mortgages.
 

He currently serves as Manager of Mortgages for Non Residents, S.V.P and Senior Mortgage Coordinator. His Banking education includes professional courses in International Private Banking, Credit Analysis, International Banking, Commercial Credit Analysis, Credit Decisions, Advanced Senior Management and others.


 

He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.sc.) Major in Biological Sciences Pre Dental Program fromMcGill University, Montreal Canada. 

Mr Kaspi is giving the assistance in fundraising for "Akim" Israel – Voluntary Association dedicated to the welfare, advancement and development of the mentally handicapped in Israel. Also has high level of involvement in the Jewish Community in Montreal and in Mancherster.

Mr. Kaspi is married with three children.

Yoav Aboulafia 

Audit Committee

Yoav is the founder and managing partner of Aboulafia Avital Shrensky & Co' an Israeli CPA firm with offices in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv employing more then 60 accountants and tax specialist .

 

Aboulafia Avital Shrensky & Co' is a member of Prime Global - one of the five largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world. 

 

Yoav holds a B.A. in accounting and economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . 

 

Until 2001 Yoav was an audit partner at Deloitte Israel.

 

Yoav is a member of the Israeli institute of CPA'S  since 1987 and acts as a committee member of the Jerusalem branch

Eliahu Izakson (R.I.P)

years in office 1970-1977

E. Izakson was elected as deputy chairman of the Israel-British Chamber of Commerce (IBCC) in the early fifties. He was so attached to the IBCC that in 1970 he resigned his position as Chairman of the Federation of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce in order to be elected as Chairman of the IBCC.
He served as chairman of the IBCC for seven years and in recognition of his work there, he was decorated on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, with a CBE. This is one of the highest honors granted by Britain to foreigners and E. Izakson was one of the few Israelis for whom this award was conferred.
E. Izakson remained for the rest of his life Honorary President of the IBCC which was always very close to his heart.
