About the IBCC
The IBCC was founded over 60 years ago and is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to promoting bilateral trade, investment and business relationships between Israel and the UK. The Chamber provides an ideal network and platform for business people in both countries to connect, converse and work together. As a member led organization we offer our members a large range of services such as networking opportunities, professional contacts, seminars, trade visits and cultural events.
Our efforts are partnered by the staff at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv, the UK Investment and Trade Department, the Israeli Manufacturer's Association, UKTI, the UK Regional Development Agencies, the Israeli Embassy in London and more. In addition, we enjoy strong ties in the UK with our sister Chamber of Commerce in London, Manchester, and Leeds.
The importance of the Chamber can be measured by its results. It was the first Israeli organization to introduce the BOT/PPP concept. As a result this concept is evident in national projects in Israel. In addition, several Israeli companies have been introduced to the London 2012 Olympic procedures committee for tenders. Similarly, the IBCC has introduced Israeli companies to the UK financial and stock markets, resulting in a respectable number of listings on AIM and on the main market. The Chamber has assisted British airlines in entering the Israeli market, handling the civil aviation authorities and raising their profile domestically. Lastly, British accounting and legal offices are now able to work with fuller permission in Israel, as a result of the lobbying of the IBCC.
